That was quick.

A coffee shop, which opened on Jay Street in Schenectady in December, will permanently close at the end of the week. That's according to a report from News 10

Saratoga Coffee Traders says its last day will be this Sunday, March 24th. Owner Scott Swedish confirmed the news on the shop's Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

In September of 2023, we received the devastating news that our Saratoga location would have to close and that singular action changed the landscape and direction of my life. It was at that moment that my goal became to re-establish in Schenectady, with an imminent return to Saratoga, and an intent to sell the company. That ultimately fell through.

Although he didn't specifically say what his next venture would be, he did indicate a new opportunity coming his way that he could not pass up.

I started looking for the next chapter in my life and I was fortunate enough to find a position that I could not turn down.

So what's next? Swedish is looking for an interested buyer to take over the business.

This store IS profitable and thriving. The numbers here are above expected. The potential is immense.

Scott asks that anyone interested in purchasing the coffee shop to reach out to him directly. His email is available in the post below.
