Altamont, Fonda, Saratoga, Columbia - here's when they're all happening

Summer in the Capital Region means concerts at SPAC, a dip in Lake George and of course all the food, fun and festivities with the many county fairs in July and August. If you're starting to put your summer plans together, here's a guide to the upcoming county fairs to add to your calendar. 

Saratoga County Fair: Taking place from July 22 to 27, 2025, at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, this fair features live music, agricultural exhibits, and carnival rides.

Schoharie County Sunshine Fair: Scheduled from August 5 to 10, 2025, at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds, this fair features tractor pulls, live music, and various competitions.

Altamont Fair: Scheduled from August 12 to 17, 2025, at the Altamont Fairgrounds, this fair represents Albany, Schenectady, and Greene Counties. Attendees can enjoy over 30 rides from Dreamland Amusements, the Royal Hanneford Big Top Circus, and the Sea Lion Splash Show. A demolition derby is set for August 18.

Washington County Fair: Happening August 18 to 24 at at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich, this fair showcases agricultural exhibits, carnival rides, and live entertainment. 

Columbia County Fair: August 27 to September 1 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Chatham, this event offers demolition derbies, tractor pulls, live music, and a rodeo. 

Fonda Fair: Confirmed for August 27 to September 1 at Fonda Fairgrounds, this fair includes animal shows, tractor pulls, amusement rides, and live music. 

Schaghticoke Fair: August 27 to September 1st at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds. Rides, fair food, and live music from local and national artists.
